25 abandoned Yugoslavia monuments that look like they’re from the future

“These structures were commissioned by former Yugoslavian president Josip Broz Tito in the 1960s and 70s to commemorate sites where WWII battles took place or where concentration camps stood. They were designed by different sculptors and architects, conveying powerful visual impact to show the confidence and strength of the Socialist Republic. In the 1980s, these monuments attracted millions of visitors per year, especially young pioneers for their ‘patriotic education.’ After the Republic dissolved in early 1990s, they were completely abandoned, and their symbolic meanings were forever lost. From 2006 to 2009, Kempenaers toured around the ex-Yugoslavia region with the help of a 1975 map of memorials, bringing before our eyes a series of melancholy yet striking images.”

This allows me to be more efficient and capable. And makes it easier for my human counterparts to interact with me.

I will buy 10 Davids!  I am changing the name to Torgo though.

Cannibal Confections now featured on Fab.Fab.comAfter creating an installation of plaster casts of a human skull, artist Marina Malvada had a flash of inspiration. She combined her sculptural skills with an appreciation for fine, rich chocolate to develop wickedly delicious life-sized chocolate skulls. Each hand-cast piece is a work of art daring you to devour it.

Sooo… what you’re saying is that this chocolate is as big as my head. Sold.

It occurred to me that I’ve never looked at DA’s frontpage. So I did at the popular section.

There is a piece listed as “typography” (or maybe it’s mislabeled as a logotype) that has the worst kerning I’ve ever seen.

The worst.

Also play in HD if you can

Earthquake feat.Tinie Tempah (NOISIA REMIX)

I accidentally found the non remix version of this song and it’s horrible.

Emika - Double edge

UUUUgh sound quality is so bad.  If you can up this to 480p, it’s worth it.  This album is fantastic for blasting in your car with the windows rolled up.
